Golden was great! We did KH on Saturday...it was still super snowy up top, so you have to ride the road down to at least Blaster. Down below it was super dry though! Sunday we did Mount 7. I found it to be more challenging than when we were there on the May long w/e b/c it was WAY drier and dustier, ie loose. And the camping as always was good times!!

Golden was GREAT!! Has some mechanical problems at Mount 7, so I only got to ride a bit of the trail, was able to contemplate life as a black bear and her cubs scrambled around 100ft away...good times!!
Kicking Horse was an excellent hill, had a lot of fun.

As always, KH treated us very well (made me giggle like a school girl!). By the end of the day brakes were soft, lower back was sore and hands were callused. What more could a girl ask for? You we're missed!

I too had a great time and am sorry that you and Dave had to sit this one out. It was really nice to get back on the bike although the one run that I did at KH felt really hard and very stressful! However, the 3km at Mt. 7 was much nicer and I felt like I was getting my biking legs back. Plus, some friends of ours joined us for the Mt 7 day and it was really fun to introduce them to the DH scene. Can't wait till the next out of town trip! (even if it's only to K-country)
