I'd like to put a bug in everyone's ear about riding at Moose on Sunday. I'm not sure about everyone else's man but mine would like nothing more than to spend Father's Day riding with his other boyfriends (oh yeah and his wife and kid...). There is a small possibility that Scott's dad will come down this weekend to meet Lily but that's fairly unlikely. So, please ponder this possibility (with the option of camping in K-country on Saturday night) and I'll confirm asap about our plans.

Mike was talking about riding on Sunday so there's a good chance we're in..............no camping though - I have an olympic distance triathlon on Sat and I'm sure all I'll want to do that night is sleep in my own bed!

Anyone know how the cell reception is on Moose? Either on Bell or Rogers. I'm on call on the weekend...need to stay in cell reception.

Hey Janet, You may want to post this on the AB trail conditions thread on PinkBike, you may get an answer there. The one place I know that cell reception is kinda dodgy is the Ing's Mine parking lot.

Does anyone want to ride Saturday too? Who's in for camping @ McLean? Hey there! we can make it out for riding saturday. But Wont be there till 1:30pm -2pm though. About camping in the elbow valley area; Mclean is reservation only and are booked up this weekend. Little elbow campground, a 10 minute drive from maclean and on the river, has 3 spots left beside eachother (some sharing can go on if needed). The others are first come first serve. And as you know mclean is the only one with services. Anyone intrigued with a night on the elbow? www.kananaskiscountrycampgrounds.com/elbow.html

we haven't heard anything from Scott's dad so we are just assuming that he's not coming. If he is, I guess that he'll just have to spend the day at Moose with his granddaughter. Louis, Irene (on her new Kona Minxy) and their kids will be joining us again likely along with Trish and Kevin. We need to do a few things around the house so we probably won't be riding on Saturday but I'll check with Scott to see if he wants to do a few rides in the later afternoon.

Any thoughts on which side to ride on Sunday? I need to tell the Canmore folks where to meet us. My personal preference would be to just shuttle Moosepackers, Brakeless, and ROS but I know that I'm just getting into things so not everyone might even such an easy day. I know that we can move around to but where should we start?

Let us know what side is decided - Mike and I will be out there on Sunday. We want to set up in one area with all the toys and tent for shade and that but we're up to riding either side.......

I would like to ride ROS as I never have and it's Corey's first day out....his last ride last year ended in a badly sprained ankle so we should easy him into the season

I think that there will be lots of riders with lots of skill levels so we can just play things by ear. Louis and Irene will meet us at Station Flats on Sunday a.m. and we'll just figure it out from there.

It was a good weekend! There was riding to be had on saturday and sunday. Brakeless was explored for the first time by a few, which is looking like a fun alternative when your not digging wet conditions..And lots of rain through the night which of course just encouraged the baileys to come out...
