Ideas? Pano? KH? Fernie? I know it's pretty early to plan, esp for the September long, but camping spots on long weekends go pretty fast. The August long is already all booked at Fernie. There is still availability at GEAR: www.goldenadventurepark.com/Invermere/Radium on the August long will be a gong show, unless we stay at Rob & Cara's campground again? There are still campsites available in Fernie for the September long: www.discovercamping.ca/searchbydate.aspxsearch.inntopia.travel/aspnet/2.0/search_07.aspx?salesid=912352&supplierid=974992(don't know if that'll bring up the availability calendar for Fernie, it should...?) So we could do KH Aug long and Fernie Sept long, with the option of Pano if we can get sites at Rob & Cara's place. Thoughts?

I'm out for the August long weekend as my parents are here but Scott might want to take the opportunity to get away. As for September, we are heading out to the coast for that week - we'll be riding on the North Shore and on the Island while we visit with family and show off Lily. We would maybe connect with everyone for a day of riding but it just depends on where you are headed. I'll watch to see what plans unfold. Good call though T - it's good to start thinking about this stuff!

I know there was talk of Pano for the Aug long - is that set? I want to book on the hill - FYI last year I booked a studio room for $130 and got lift tickets for $15.......it also gave us access to the pools while others were riding. Well worth it for those with kids sitting around waiting for their turn! If you don't book I'm sure I can smuggle you all into the pools. No one will notice a bunch of women with their babies walking in

Well it looks like the sites at Mount Fernie Campground filled up!
I guess we could head over to the Coal Creek Road and do free camping!!

Arg! That's what we get for waiting I guess!! Super disappointing. I just called Mtn Shadows in Sparwood (http://www.sparwood.bc.ca/About%20Sparwood/Visitor%20Info/Camping/index.html) and they are full too.

I just called Pano back...the cheapest accommodation is a studio room for $145/night, and that's the discounted price if you book an "activity" (ie buy a $17 lift pass ticket from them). He said that w/e is the most expensive of the summer.

Would anyone be into the 3 bedroom suite that T mentioned for 125 for Pano?? Did they say if you get discounted lift tickets with that as well? So Fernie is full for Sept long? Could go early and try for a drop in site? Pretty risky tho.....

Ok I just realized it was for a 3 night stay and we were only planning on coming up for one night.......Getting there by noon on Sat (since the chair is open late) and leaving Sunday night after riding. Mike's mom arrives on Monday. So I checked for the 25th weekend and they're full for studio rooms then cause of a bike race or something going on?? Not looking good - not sure what to suggest? Fernie for Aug long - although i'm sure the campground is full then too.........agh.

We're still interested in Pano for the 25th but since we are full dirtbags while I'm on mat leave, we can only afford to camp all summer which means Pano only works for us if we can crash at Chez Sealock...but if there is a race there on the 25th weekend, it might not be the best place to go riding.

Count us out for plans in September -not sure what we will be doing at that time.
We are aiming for the sealocks spur valley august long. Although its a drive to either golden or pano it fits me and Daves pace well as it gives us the option for either and its an easy playground for the young one. Becca i'm sure there will be riding on the 25th somewhere too.
Mel can you guys get a boat already. And man I'm Very envious of all the parent visits!
